About me

I am interested in the ways image, structure, material, and atmosphere can be used to construct worlds. I approach different media through an authorial lens, with an underlying narrative shaping the work. My practice moves between image and story, and space and material, from sequential art, illustration, and animation to objects, and spatial design.

My graphic novel The Dead Brother’s Song was published by Jemma Press in 2024, and my second, Black Vine, is complete and currently seeking publication. My work across comics, animation, and design has been presented through exhibitions, festivals, and other cultural contexts in the US and Europe.

I have worked internationally as an architect for more than fifteen years, developing projects from concept through realization. Earlier in my career, I worked professionally in animation. Together with my authorial practice, these experiences have shaped an approach to visual creation attentive to structure, detail, scale, space, narrative, timing, atmosphere, and world-building.

Alongside my work in graphic storytelling, illustration, and spatial work, PULU is my independent practice for objects, design, making, and material exploration.

I am looking for collaborations and commissions across publishing, cultural and exhibition projects, graphic storytelling, spatial design, objects, packaging, and visual communication. I am particularly drawn to projects with a strong idea, narrative, or sense of world-building.
