Packaging is more than a container. It is a small stage for the identity of a product. An opportunity to tell its story through image, form, and material.
I approach packaging as way of giving a brand a tangible voice, looking for the elements that make the character of a product visible and felt.
Solid Body Wash by Vis Olivae
For these two solid body washes by Kalamata-based Vis Olivae, I developed a shared visual identity inspired by Botticelli’s Birth of Venus. Two female figures sharing similar visual characteristics, each appearing on one package, create a visual connection between the two products, while the overall treatment of colour, style and atmosphere shift to reflect their distinct personalities.
Apricot Velvet
A timeless, pure and romantic design that focuses on the sensual but also virtuous qualities of the classical Venus archetype.
Juicy Pop
A contemporary, pop, youthful and playful design, its colors inspired by Andy Warhol’s take on Boticelli’s classic.
Acrogea, Packaging Concept
Acrogaea was a Greek brand specializing in handmade traditional gourmet products. Its mission was to share the essence of authentic Greek flavors with a wider audience. The brand’s core values, namely quality, authenticity, sustainability, and transparency, guided every design decision.
The packaging concept, embodied these principles through a down-to-earth yet elegant design language. Products were presented in glass jars of identical diameter, allowing consumers to appreciate the color and texture of each item before purchase, an open invitation to trust in its quality. A modular gift box system enabled the jars to be arranged interchangeably according to consumer preference, while subtle, refined engravings, evoking the delicacy of embroidery and handcrafted crochet, added a quiet sense of tradition and craftsmanship.
The design of the exhibition module and the shop display is equally based on the modularity of the packaging. The products are labeled on the top of their lid and color coded so that they can be easily grouped by the staff and discovered by the customers.
