Just as words can paint a picture, an image can write the story.

To illustrate is to give form to what is not said, whether a feeling or an idea. It is to look beyond the words and find the meaning that lives between them. It is less about aesthetics or decoration, and more about interpretation. A successful image is not a retelling, but a new way of seeing.

My sketchbook is my image laboratory.

Ideas and fragments of stories enter unfiltered, to be reworked and refined, or to find their counterparts and come together as part of a larger narrative. My sketchbook is my memory, my record, and my playground. It is where I return for inspiration, to fish for ideas.
